Social Media / Web Specialist

Responsibilities

  • To fully utilize social networking as it brings attention and recognition to the mission and vision of the church.
  • To upgrade, maintain, and utilize the church website to its fullest potential. 
  • To recommend solutions and upgrades of the website and IT procedures. 
  • To manage and promote the media resources of the church both physical and digital.
  • To coordinate with the staff with regard to new and emerging technologies that the church can leverage in spreading the gospel and promotion.
  • To report directly to the Executive Director in facilitating all areas of the media ministry. 
  • To assist in any additional projects as required.

Requirements

  • Understanding that first and foremost this is a ministry of First Baptist Church and as a church there are high expectations regarding professionalism, honor, and integrity.
  • Excellent web and media skills.
  • At least an associate’s degree in the media or related field of study.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a church production environment is preferred.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate a variety of services and events.
  • 40+ hours schedule as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salaried. Will be commensurate with experience and skill levels

Facility Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of facility Maintenance activities, not requiring professional licensing
  • Facility Event preparation and reconfiguration/teardown
    • Tables, chairs, staging
    • Custodial processes both pre and post event
  • Manage and maintain inventories of facility equipment, tools as well as repair/upkeep consumables
  • Report and advise a course of action for facility related maintenance, repairs and/or compliance issues

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s License
  • Demonstrated basic skill and knowledge of:
    • Carpentry
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical
    • Landscaping
    • HVAC system knowledge is a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient in the use of ladders, hand and electrical power tools
  • Must have complete physical mobility, be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, work in confined areas and be comfortable at over 30’ elevation
  • Ability to recognize, initiate and complete maintenance tasks without supervision and direction
  • Flexible Availability for Emergency Repairs and Facility Event Staffing
  • Ability to work with Staff and Ministry teams
